Farmer’s Story: Quit Job to Increase the Income of 30,000 Farmers by 4 Times

Quit Job to Pursue Farming
Suvas Bali used to work in a company. After completing his MBA, he spent four years in an office job but didn’t enjoy it. So, he decided to return to his village in Vidarbha and take up farming.
Growing Exotic Vegetables
In Vidarbha, most farmers grow cotton and soybeans, but Suvas took a different approach. He started cultivating exotic vegetables like red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, and iceberg lettuce.
Higher Income from Small Land
Suvas believes that with the right crops and techniques, even a small piece of land can generate high profits.
For example, cultivating red cabbage on just 1 acre can earn up to ₹8 lakh in 3 months, whereas soybean farming yields only ₹25,000 in 6 months.
Using Advanced Techniques
Suvas implemented drip irrigation (a method that delivers water drop by drop) to prevent water wastage and improve crop quality.
